Our company

Whistonbrook Technologies Limited is a small instrument design house formed in 1998 and based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire specialising in custom electrochemical instrumentation and consultancy in electrochemistry. The Company design and supply a range of instruments from micro-loggers and handheld potentiostats through to bench-top electrochemical instruments with advanced software and process control capabilities. We are particularly skilled at designing and consulting on the development of electrochemical Point of Care (POC) and medical diagnostic instruments. In previous projects we have helped our customers to choose the right type of instrumentation and method, designed and supplied demonstration unit and user software and either, supplied trial instruments or transferred the technology to the customers chosen suppliers. We design and supply all types of custom potentiostats, galvanostats, electrodepositing units, potentiometers, optical sensor loggers and fuel cell testers.

We also have expertise in pH measurement and the design of reference electrodes and ion selective electrodes (ISE) as well as general electroanalytical chemistry. Whistonbrook personnel have a combined total of over 40 years experience in the measurement of pH and the use of ion selective electrodes and carry out consultancy on the design of electrodes and measurement systems. Whistonbrook Technologies Limited manufactures and supplies a full range of potentiostats. This includes the low cost, low current potentiostats as well as a full range of analogue and multichannel potentiostats. Some of these can be supplied with standard electrochemistry software while others are supplied with custom embedded procedures or methods for customers who have a special need. We have expertise in designing custom embedded microprocessor electronics and instrumentation and supplying firmware and PC software.
